I just came across this video of the new game from Fishlabs, Powerboat Challenge. I took the game for a quick 10 minute spin and have to say it’s very impressive. The game seems to run quite smoothly, the reflections on the water look great and it controls quite nicely as well. Looks as though this could be a good one.

A port of Quake is coming to the iPhone. Looks as though it could be a decent game. Via iPGN.

Illusion Labs have released the second trailer for their upcoming title Touch Grind, due out at the end of November. This game looks brilliant and the more I see of it the more I’m looking forward to getting my hands on it as soon as it’s released.

This FPS looks like it could be a decent attempt at a first person shooter on the iPhone. I still have my reservations over how controls could work on the platform but this looks like a good attempt at making an FPS game playable without the controls hindering it. The game will be free and is apparently in the process of being reviewed by Apple so watch this space. Hopefully it will be hitting the App Store soon.

Stumbled upon this video of forthcoming racer, Low Grav Racer. I think a game like this would work very well on the iPhone with tilt controls. Can’t wait for it to hit the App Store.

Touch Sports Tennis looks like an incredibly promising game. Featuring full 3D graphics, touch and tilt controls, I can’t wait for this one to his the App Store.

Toughgrind looks like it could be good fun when it hits the App Store in November. Not sure what it’s lasting appeal will be like though so it will be interesting to see what sort of game modes are available. Either way I can’t wait to give it a thrashing and I’m sure it will keep me entertained during moments of boredom.

Rolando looks like it’s going to be great fun to play.
